Lovely Lisa's Sweet and Salty Caramel Popcorn

I am really a sweet newbie, however this recipe is so easy and the effects are first rate! Ingredients :

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or as needed

  • 2 cups damaged small pretzels
  • 2 half of cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • sea salt to taste

Instructions :

  • Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. Measure baking soda and vanilla extract into separate small bowls; set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a huge saucepan; upload popcorn, cowl, and cook, shaking frequently, till absolutely popped, approximately 5 minutes. Transfer popcorn to a large roasting pan the use of a strainer or your fingers, leaving unpopped kernels within the saucepan.   • I packaged 6 present bags (230 grams or approximately 5 cups every) with a few left over for sampling!
  • You might also need to pop the popcorn in batches. 1/4 cup unpopped kernels yields approximately 2 quarts of popped popcorn.
  • Reynolds® parchment can be used for less complicated cleanup/removal from the pan.
